THE BERLIN AIRLIFT

U.S. Army Garrison Wiesbaden, together with the State of Hesse, will host a public commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the end of the Berlin Airlift on June 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

On Thurday, May 23rd the Germany Embassy hosted a Commemmorative Berlin Airlift Service at the United States Air Force Memorial in Arlington VA. The Air Force band and Color Guard officiated and the flags of all 8 countries provinding airlift support were displayed. Our Alliance, was well represented by two members from the growing family of airlift history supporters.

The forgotten airlift casualty of the airlift has never been recognized, until now.
